Hi everyone! I’m c/LCDR Eden Carter, and I am the Commanding Officer (CO) for the 2025-2026 school year. In my time in JROTC, I have held positions of Color Guard Team commander, Company Commander, and Public Affairs Officer. I love meeting new people and working in team settings. As CO, I will be responsible for overseeing the success of our unit and supporting my triad and staff. Outside of JROTC, I work at a local Cuban bakery and have a black belt in mixed martial arts. I’m so excited to work with you all this year!
Hi everyone! I am c/LT Layla Hutchins, and I will be serving as this year’s Executive Officer (XO). As the XO, I am responsible for ensuring that all tasks within our unit staff are executed correctly, as well as maintaining adequate communication between each staff member and the triad. The role of the XO is quite administrative; weekly staff meetings are headed by myself (with the support of the remaining members of the triad). Ultimately, I am responsible for ensuring that the CO’s orders are followed by all, resulting in success for the overall battalion. Aside from XO, I have previously served as the battalion’s N-7, a Company Commander, Choir Team Leader, and an alpha for various staff positions. Some of my extracurriculars include singing, either in my free time or in Point Loma’s jazz ensemble, listening to music (particularly Laufey and ATEEZ), and working at my part-time job. After high school, I would like to pursue a degree in chemistry or biochemistry, either at a UC campus or somewhere relatively commutable. I am looking forward to meeting all of you, and I cannot wait to hit the ground running!
Hello! I’m c/SCPO Do, otherwise known as your Senior Enlisted Leader (SEL). I’m not the best with introductions, but I’m hoping that you will have a wonderful-if not eventful-year with me, the XO, and the CO. For some personal flair, I am that one insane cat lady who is projected to have five of the furballs when I get wrinkly. If you get my contact, please send me some photos… In any case, I’m here if you want to talk art, philosophy, and anything that revolves around the depth of the universe.
Welcome, I’m c/SCPO Alvin Wang, the Chief Master at Arms of Point Loma High School. I work with the Senior Enlisted Leader and Training Officer to maintain regulations and order within our unit. I’m also the Athletic Team Commander, where I lead practices and coach my cadets. I love working out, music, and ants. I’m very excited to get to know you all.
Hi, I’m c/CPO Lillian Feuerborn, and I’m the Administrative Officer (N-1). I track achievements of cadets, including ribbons, medals, ranks, Cadet of the Month, and more. Additionally, I am the commander of the Color Guard team. If you’re interested in learning more about the position or becoming an alpha (assistant), please come talk to me. Outside of school, I enjoy backpacking and hiking as well as volunteering. I’m looking forward to a great year with everyone!
Hello, I am c/PO2 Kira Gillette and I will be your Safety and Intel Officer (N-2) for the school year. As the N-2, I research and share scholarships and internships for cadets, manage risk assessments (ORM's) to ensure safety at unit events, and post helpful updates and resources both in the unit and on Google Classroom. I am a senior and the Archery Team Commander. In my free time, I practice archery, spending time with my family and friends, and staying involved in activities that help support and grow our unit. I'm looking forward to a great year. If you have any questions about my position or the archery team, feel free to reach out.
Hi all! I'm c/CPO Kianna Hughes, and I'm serving as the N3 Operations Officer and Robotics Team Commander for this year. Aside from NJROTC, I'm involved on several teams including CyberPatriots, Academics, and Athletics, and I also have a small cookie business that will donate proceeds to the Environmental Club at Point Loma. My name is Lucas Choukri, and I am this year's Supply Officer (N-4). Outside of PLHS NJROTC, I enjoy history, particularly the history of the Classical Mediterranean, and linguistics. I also do Historical European Martial Arts, specifically, I practice the Liechtenauer school of German Longsword. I create my own world, cultures, and languages for personal enjoyment.

Hi - I am c/PO1 Benjamin Mears, and I will be acting as this unit's Financial Officer (N-8), as well as Orienteering Team Commander for the 2025-2026 school year. If you want to buy some unit merch, let me know. It will be my final year at Point Loma, so if you have any questions about course selection or the school in general, feel free to ask. You'll probably see me in the unit listening to music or running nearby for orienteering practice. Speaking of which, if you like maps, navigation, or hiking, you might be interested in the sport of orienteering.
