What is the Plex Mobile App?
The Plex app is a mobile application that connects you to your Plex account and media library. Once you sign in, you can:
Stream your personal movies, TV shows, and music.
Watch free ad-supported movies and TV shows.
Access live TV channels.
Organize photos and videos.
Continue watching content across multiple devices.
Download media for offline viewing (Plex Pass required).
Download the Plex App
Open the Google Play Store.
Search for Plex: Stream Movies & TV.
Tap Install.
Wait for the app to download and install.
Open the Apple App Store.
Search for Plex: Stream Movies & TV.
Tap Get.
Install the application and launch it.
After opening the app:
Tap Sign In.
Enter your Plex account email and password.
If you don't have an account, select Create Account and complete the registration.
Once signed in, your media libraries will appear automatically if your Plex Media Server is available.
Connect to Your Plex Media Server
To stream your personal content:
Make sure your Plex Media Server is running.
Ensure your phone and server are connected to the internet.
Open the Plex app.
Select your server from the sidebar.
Browse your available libraries.
Your movies, TV shows, music, and photos will now be ready to stream.
