WELCOME LETTER

Dear PLE Parents and Guardians,

On behalf of the Pleasant Lake Elementary PTA, I’m excited to welcome you to a fun-filled year ahead! My name is Amy Rathsburg, and I’m honored to serve in my second year as PTA President for the 2026-2027 School Year. I am a Pleasant Lake Elementary alumna and Walled Lake Central Graduate, and once roamed the halls of PLE as a child myself. I have two kids in the school, Abby who is a first grader and Jack, a new JK Shark this year.

As we begin this school year with an experienced Board, we have many new and exciting things to share with you all! As always, the PTA has a fantastic lineup of events and initiatives planned to bring our families together, support our educators, and create lasting memories for our students. We have worked hard over the summer and are so excited to launch a brand new PLE PTA Website!! We welcome all of you to check it out and stay informed. Save it to your FAVORITES bar because we will be using it a lot throughout the year.

  New this year, we will feature 6 Skating Parties at Bonaventure

We warmly invite every parent and guardian to get involved—whether by volunteering, sharing ideas, attending meetings, or simply joining us at events. Your support truly makes a difference. One of the easiest ways to help is by becoming a PTA member. A family membership is just $25, and it directly funds many of the activities listed above. Joining doesn’t mean you’re committing to volunteer—our dedicated PTA board handles much of the planning.
