Angela is joining the Officers in her first year as the Vice President and has previously been the Events Committee Chair and Social Media Committee Co-Chair. Angela is married to Brian and they have three children. Justin (3rd grade), Lucy (2nd grade), and Lily (K). Angela is a Registered Nurse in the Specialty ICU. She is a huge Michigan State fan and proud alumni! Angela noted, "I’ve been tailgating over 20 years with the same friends I met in the dorm. My kids love joining me on Saturdays for the tailgates and Spartan football games." 

Angela serves on the board because she thinks volunteering is important and thinks if everyone donated time to something they believe in the world would see a huge impact. Angela said, "I'm happy my time can get me involved in my children's lives and education."

Angela hopes to see our PTA continue to gain momentum, post COVID, and grow our small group into something bigger! She looks forward to working with other parents and family members who are passionate about being involved in their children's upbringing. 

Karen has dedicated her time to our board for 6 years and helped lead this small but mighty PTA out of the shadows of COVID. The wealth of knowledge and experience she brings is invaluable! Her and her husband have 4 children in 4 different schools!! Genevieve (9th), Antonio (8th), Elizabeth (5th), Christina (Preschool). Let's hope she has another 6 years to offer her regarded thoughts and time. Karen also puts her heart into her work as a Social Worker. 

Karen has continued to serve on the board because she loves to be involved in her kids' lives as much as possible. She genuinely says, "I want to spend as much time with them in and out of school before they get too cool to hang out with me!"

This year Karen hopes to bring some good ideas and wants to volunteer as much time as she has to give. We love the dedication, Karen!

Katelyn is in her 4th and final year as Secretary. She is married to Barry and her daughter Cora is in 5th grade. She has a full-time job as a Forecast Supervisor and recently earned an MBA! Katelyn is obsessed with pilates after starting in 2020 and is never looking back. 

After joining the PTA for the parent perks, she soon realized how amazing it is to get involved. She said, "It has been so rewarding to build a community and feel like I'm making a difference." (hey Katelyn, you have made a difference!!) 

This year, Katelyn hopes to bring more snack cart days to spoil the teachers! As her daughter finishes her elementary days, she notes, "As it is my last year at the school, I hope to savor every moment of elementary school PTA."

Sandy Hami is a household name around the halls at PLE and we are very lucky to have her serve her first year on the board as Treasurer. Filling big shoes, we are confident with her willingness to help and can-do attitude that she will continue providing stability in this position. She and husband, Wafik, are parents to three sharks and 1 new Hawk, Marcel (6th), Mila (5th), Max (3rd), Matthew (1st). 

Sandy is everyone's favorite Realtor with Real Estate One and a yearly top level Shark Sponsor. This year is no different as she is our first ever Premier Roadside Sponsor! She loves traveling and exploring new places. Also a PLE Soccer Coach, Hami says, "I'm always up for a good soccer game." 

She is passionate about being involved and helping make our school a great place for our kids. This year Sandy is excited to bring new ideas, support, and a positive attitude.
