Brian Blanchfield is the author of Proxies: Essays Near Knowing--winner of a Whiting Award--and two books of poetry, for which he received The Academy of American Poets' James Laughlin Award and a Howard Foundation Fellowship. A finalist for The National Book Award in Poetry and the Lambda Literary Award in Gay Memoir, he is at work on two new books, portions of which have appeared, or soon will, in The Atlantic, Harper's, The Yale Review, A Public Space, Annulet, Pleiades, and elsewhere. He teaches creative writing at UM
Alex Baker was born and raised in the Haight-Ashbury in San Francisco. She holds an MFA in creative nonfiction from the University of Idaho and is the author of two collections of poems, stories, essays and film photos, both published by Two Plum Press. A manager at The Anthology Film Archives in NYC, Alex also curates a roving film series, To Be Continued. She’s at work on a series of super 8 short films and short stories.
Sand Duney is the recording project of songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jess Jones. She’s played in bands such as Dear Nora, Hot Gum, Cynthia Nelson Band and Jessica Dennison + Jones. A new album “Plant Material” is forthcoming, which explores the intersection of humans and nature, as well as the practice of love and the creative process.
