One of the most meaningful sources of support and information comes from other parents who experienced parenting a child with a special need. Parents who are informed, connected and supported by other parents who have "been there," are better prepared to meet challenges that arise.
Co-sponsored by the San Ramon Valley Council of PTAs' Special Needs Committee, we are a group of parents and educations coming together once a month to offer support, share ideas, resources, and empower each other as we experience the successes and challenges of raising a child with dyslexia. This group is intended to be a safe place where parents can freely share what we are going through with others who understand or may have overcome a similar challenge and can offer insight or experience.
The Livermore Special Needs Parent Group is made up of parents and guardians in the Tri-Valley area whose children have various special needs. It was established by parents, for parents.
Anyone is welcome to attend our meetings, which provide opportunities to:
• Hear from Speakers
• Receive parent training
• Learn about resources in the community
• Network with other parents/guardians
Welcome to CHADD of Northern California, your resource for helping you and your child learn what attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is and what it isn’t. We will provide you with the tools and information that your child needs to fully develop his/her potential. It starts with getting the right diagnosis, finding the right treatment, getting help at school, and learning from others who have walked in your shoes.
