Measurement: Movement distance is measured from the centre of the moving unit.
Pivot: Units turn by pivoting around the centre point (as per RAW). If the pivot would move part of the unit through another unit it is not allowed to interpenetrate, or through impassable terrain, it is allowed to make the pivot provided it fully clears the obstruction by the end of the pivot.
Shooting Arc: The 45 degree angle is projected outwards from the corners of the front edge of the unit.
Shooting Distance: Shooting distance is measured from the closest point on the shooting unit’s front edge to the closest point on the target.
Line of Sight: Shooting targets must be in line of sight. A Hill, Wood or Town or another unit blocks line of sight. Line of sight is determined by tracing a line drawn from the centre of the front edge of the shooting unit to the target. At least half the target must be in the open and not blocked by blocking terrain/another unit.
Priority: The player determines target priority when there are multiple options.
Shooting into/out from: A unit must be on the edge of a Wood or Town to shoot out from, and to be shot into from outside. Cover modifier applies to the shooting unit. A unit further in a Wood or Town cannot be shot at from outside and cannot shoot outside.
Shooting Within: A unit and its enemy within a Wood or Town may shoot at each other. Cover modifier applies to both units.
Shooting into Hand to Hand: Shooting into hand to hand is forbidden.
Conformance: When a charging unit's straight-line movement brings any part of its base into contact with the enemy, it is freely aligned flush (edge-to-edge) to maximize contact against the attacked unit’s face it charged.
Flank Attack: The centre of the charging unit must be behind the front edge of the attacked unit before the optional turn and charge move is made.
Rear Attack: The centre of the charging unit must be behind the rear edge of the attacked unit before the optional turn and charge move is made.
Hand to Hand in Wood or Town: If a unit is on the edge of a Wood or Town and its opponent charges from outside then the defender gets the Terrain hand to hand modifier. The opponent doesn’t get the Terrain hand to hand modifier in subsequent hand to hand combat.
If both are fully in the Wood or Town both get the modifier.
Up Hill: If it isn’t obvious from the terrain model the unit over the centre point of the hill model gets the “on a hill” modifier.
