Most common reasons for damaged plaster is age, water and other works being carried out.

Here the plaster has been damaged after a major leak causing mould, and rotting of the plasterboard. We removed the mouldy and rotted plasterboards professionally, re boarded and skimmed it, ready for painting.

It is very common for old plaster to be crumbly and loose going unnoticed until disturbed such as when re decorating or when it is hiding behind wallpaper, once this is removed all of the old plaster comes away with it. When this happens we survey the damage and decide which materials are the best suited for the job, whether backing plaster or plasterboard, we carry the work out to the highest standard !

Here in a commercial site building of new student accommodations, there had been mistakes of putting no fire stopping system in the ceiling, to access it other trades had been in and ripped parts of the ceiling down. I was brought in to repair the patches. All work was carried out with easi fill 60 - a favourite product of mine when using for plaster patches. This product sets fast, dries white and is easy to sand making it a flawless finish when painted over.
