Welcome to Plante: AI Plant Identifier (“Plante,” “App,” “Service,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Plante mobile application, website, and related services. By downloading, accessing, or using Plante, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
Plante is an AI-powered plant identification application designed to help users identify plants, flowers, trees, leaves, fruits, vegetables, mushrooms, and related species using photos and image-based analysis. The Service may also provide plant-related information, such as common names, scientific names, descriptions, images, and educational content. Plante is intended for informational and educational purposes only.
You must be at least the age required under the laws of your country or region to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.
By using Plante, you confirm that:
you have read and understood these Terms;
you agree to comply with them;
you agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes.
If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service immediately.
Plante may offer features including, but not limited to:
AI-based plant identification using photos;
recognition of flowers, trees, leaves, fruits, vegetables, and mushrooms;
plant details such as names, descriptions, and related information;
educational resources and reference material;
saved history or logs of plant identifications;
premium or paid features, if offered;
advertisements and third-party content.
We may add, remove, modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time without prior notice.
Plante uses automated systems and artificial intelligence to analyze uploaded or captured images. While we aim to provide helpful and accurate results, we do not guarantee that any identification, result, recommendation, or information provided by the Service will always be accurate, complete, or reliable.
You acknowledge and agree that:
AI-based identification may sometimes be incorrect or incomplete;
visually similar species may be misidentified;
results should be independently verified where accuracy is important.
You should not rely solely on the Service for decisions involving health, safety, toxicity, medical treatment, animal care, or legal compliance.
The content provided through Plante is for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not medical advice, veterinary advice, agricultural advice, environmental advice, botanical certification, or any other form of professional advice.
In particular:
do not consume any plant, fruit, mushroom, or herb based solely on the App’s result;
do not use the App as a substitute for expert inspection or professional consultation;
if you are unsure whether a plant or mushroom is toxic, dangerous, or safe, consult a qualified expert.
You assume full responsibility for how you use the information provided by the Service.
To use certain features, you may capture, upload, or submit images and other content (“User Content”).
You retain ownership of your User Content. However, by submitting User Content through the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:
process and analyze the content to provide the Service;
improve app functionality, troubleshooting, performance, and user experience;
store the content as necessary for features you choose to use, subject to our Privacy Policy.
You represent and warrant that:
you own the User Content or have all necessary rights to submit it;
your User Content does not violate any law or third-party rights;
your User Content does not contain unlawful, harmful, abusive, or infringing material.
We may remove or restrict User Content if we believe it violates these Terms or applicable law.
You agree not to:
use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or abusive purpose;
copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service except as permitted by law;
reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except where allowed by law;
interfere with the operation, security, or integrity of the Service;
upload malicious code, bots, scripts, or harmful materials;
use the Service to infringe the rights of others;
misuse plant identification results in a way that could endanger people, animals, or property.
The Service may include advertisements, analytics, external links, and integrations with third-party tools or services. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, content, policies, or practices of third-party services.
Your interactions with third parties are solely between you and those third parties. We recommend reviewing their applicable terms and privacy policies.
Plante may offer paid features, premium access, subscriptions, or one-time purchases through app stores or authorized platforms.
If you purchase a subscription or paid feature:
payment will be charged through the platform you use, such as Google Play or the Apple App Store;
pricing, billing cycles, free trials, renewals, and cancellation terms are governed by that platform’s rules in addition to these Terms;
unless canceled, subscriptions may renew automatically according to the platform’s billing process;
refunds, if any, are handled according to the rules of the store or payment provider through which the purchase was made.
We reserve the right to change pricing or available premium features at any time, subject to applicable law and platform requirements.
The Service, including its design, branding, text, graphics, logos, interfaces, software, and related content, is owned by or licensed to PeriStudio and is protected by intellectual property laws.
Except as expressly permitted in these Terms, you may not:
copy, reproduce, republish, transmit, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service;
use our trademarks, branding, or visual identity without prior written permission.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your data.
By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.
We may update, patch, maintain, modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time. We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
From time to time, we may release updates to improve performance, security, compatibility, or features. Some updates may be required for continued use of the App.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.
We disclaim all warranties, including without limitation:
merchantability;
fitness for a particular purpose;
non-infringement;
accuracy, reliability, or availability of the Service.
We do not warrant that:
the Service will meet your expectations or requirements;
results will be accurate or suitable for any specific use;
the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PeriStudio, its affiliates, licensors, partners, and service providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, revenue, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from or related to your use of the Service.
This includes, without limitation, damages arising from:
inaccurate plant or mushroom identification;
reliance on educational or AI-generated content;
misuse of results;
app downtime, bugs, or service interruptions;
third-party services, ads, or external links.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us, if any, for use of the Service during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless PeriStudio, its affiliates, officers, employees, licensors, and service providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or related to:
your use or misuse of the Service;
your violation of these Terms;
your User Content;
your violation of any law or third-party rights.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if:
you violate these Terms;
we are required to do so by law;
your use creates risk, harm, or legal exposure for us or others.
You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the App and discontinuing use.
Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will continue in effect, including sections relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law.
We may revise these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify users by updating the date above, posting a notice in the App, or by other appropriate means.
Your continued use of the Service after revised Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Country/State, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Pakistan, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law.
