By downloading or using Plant Identifier ("the app") you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
The app lets you take or select a photo of a plant, tree or flower and uses an AI service (Google Gemini API) to suggest its name and general care information. The app is free to use and has no in-app purchases.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Usage Rules. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell or misuse the app, or interfere with its operation.
You own the photos you take. By submitting a photo for identification you allow the app to send it to the AI service for processing, as described in our Privacy Policy. Only submit images you have the right to use, and do not submit unlawful or harmful content.
Results are generated by artificial intelligence and may be incomplete or wrong. Identification and care tips are for general information and entertainment only.
Do NOT rely on the app to decide whether a plant, mushroom, berry, leaf or flower is safe to eat, touch, handle or give to people or pets. Some plants are poisonous or cause allergic reactions.
Care information is general; real conditions vary. Consult a qualified botanist, gardener, veterinarian or doctor when it matters.
Do not use the app for unlawful purposes, to harm others, to attempt to disrupt or overload the service, or to extract data in bulk.
Features rely on third-party services (such as Google) and an internet connection, and may change, be interrupted or be discontinued at any time without notice.
The app uses Google Gemini API and Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config). Their own terms apply to their services. Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app.
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss or harm arising from use of, or reliance on, the app or its AI-generated results. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms.
We may update these Terms; the date above shows the latest version. Continued use after an update means you accept it.
These Terms are governed by the laws of REPLACE-JURISDICTION, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, subject to mandatory consumer protections where you live.
