Rising Tides Albany

In July of 2025 I was invited to participate in a field assignment in Albany as part of a continuation of the Rising Tides studio in Fremantle. 

The Rising Tides project (Fremantle and Albany inclusive) received  a Western Australian Coastal Award for Excellence in the Education, Engagement, Science and Research category.

Parts of Albany are under threat from Sea Level Rise over the next 50-100 years. It is important to make the necessary changes sooner than later to minimise these effects.

In this brief we were assigned one site as part of a larger site plan linking the wetlands, beach and neighbourhood with sensitive and ecologically responsible interventions. 

In our own style, we submitted one design that communicates the above.
