Introduction
Welcome to Plank Timer ("we", "our", "us"). We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your information. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application Plank Timer (the "App").
Information We Collect
(a) Personal Data
We do not collect, store, or share personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, or precise location.
The App is designed to work without requiring account sign-in.
(b) Usage Data (Anonymous)
To improve the app experience, we may collect limited, anonymous usage and technical data such as:
App version and device model
Basic interaction data, such as feature usage, session length, button taps, screen visits, selected timer modes, selected duration ranges, reminder usage, and general app usage patterns
Crash logs and performance analytics through Google Play services, Firebase, or similar tools, if used
This data is not intended to directly identify you and is used to improve app performance, stability, usability, compatibility, and reliability.
(c) Workout Timer Data / Exercise Records / Saved Items
Plank Timer may store app content such as:
Plank timer duration
Workout session records
Rest interval settings
Workout goals, streaks, or progress records, if available
Recent sessions, saved results, or local workout history, if available
Sound, vibration, notification, theme, language, and other app-related preferences
Screenshots, exported results, or shared workout data, if you choose to create them
On-device Storage: These records are stored locally on your device.
No Upload by Us: We do not upload your workout history, plank records, timer results, streaks, goals, or saved items to our own servers.
No Sale of Workout Data: We do not sell your workout timer data or exercise records.
Sharing is User-Initiated: If you choose to share exported text, images, screenshots, or workout results, that content is handled by the destination app or service under its own privacy policy.
(d) Fitness and Health-Related Data
Because Plank Timer may store workout duration, progress, goals, or exercise history, some information may be considered fitness-related or health-related data depending on your jurisdiction.
We use this information only to provide App functionality, such as displaying your workout history, streaks, goals, and timer preferences.
We do not use your workout records to identify you. We do not upload this information to our own servers. We do not share your workout records with advertising providers.
If the App later provides cloud sync, Health Connect, wearable integration, leaderboard, account login, or similar connected features, related data may be handled according to additional disclosures and the connected service provider's own privacy policy.
(e) Local App Data (Settings & Preferences)
Plank Timer may store the following information locally on your device:
App settings and preferences, such as language selection, sound on/off, vibration settings, notification settings, theme options, timer preferences, workout preferences, or UI preferences
Local caches and app resources used for faster loading
Temporary timer or workout session data used to maintain app functionality
This information is stored only on your device using local storage technologies such as SharedPreferences, local databases, or similar methods. We do not sync this data to our own servers.
(f) Notifications
If the App provides workout reminders, timer alerts, or other optional reminders, notification settings may be stored locally on your device. The App may use your device's notification system to send reminders or alerts if you enable this feature.
We do not use notifications to collect personal information. You can disable notifications at any time through the App settings or your device settings.
(g) Audio and Vibration Features
Plank Timer may play countdown sounds, completion sounds, alert sounds, or other audio feedback through your device speaker, headphones, or connected audio devices.
The App may also use vibration for timer alerts or haptic feedback if supported and enabled.
The App does not require microphone access, camera access, contacts access, or precise location access for its core timer functionality.
(h) Advertising & Billing Data
If the App displays ads through Google AdMob or similar ad networks, those providers may collect advertising identifiers, such as the Android Advertising ID, to show personalized or non-personalized ads. You can manage or opt out of personalized ads in your device settings.
The App may also use Google Play Billing or similar services to process in-app purchases, such as removing ads or unlocking premium features. Billing data, including purchase history, is handled by Google according to its own policies. We do not receive your full payment details.
(i) Clipboard / Sharing Features (If Used)
If the App provides copy, export, screenshot, or share-related features, copied or shared content is handled through system services on your device. We do not receive clipboard contents.
Data Storage, Retention, and Deletion
We do not store user data on our own servers. App settings, caches, workout timer records, goals, streaks, saved results, preferences, and other saved app data are stored locally on your device.
Local data remains on your device until you delete it in the App, clear the App's data, or uninstall the App. If the App provides a delete or reset feature, you may use it to remove local workout history or saved settings.
No personal data is transmitted externally by us, aside from what is handled by third-party services such as ads, analytics, crash reporting, and billing under their own policies.
Data Security
We take reasonable measures within the scope of a mobile app to protect the data stored on your device, but you are also responsible for keeping your device secure.
Third-Party Services
The App may use third-party services that can collect information used to identify you or your device. These may include, but are not limited to:
Google AdMob, for displaying ads
Google Play Services / Firebase, for analytics, crash reporting, or diagnostics, if used
Google Play Billing, for handling in-app purchases
These third parties have their own privacy policies that govern how they use your data. We encourage you to review their policies before using the App.
Children's Privacy
The App is not specifically directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
