This page covers what Plainwx is, what you can buy, how billing and cancellation work, and the important safety limits of the app. Plainwx is a supplemental information tool, not an official weather briefing — please read the "What Plainwx is and is not" section.

By downloading or using Plainwx, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. These Terms are between you and Ronak Vakhariya. They are in addition to Apple's standard licence terms (see the "Apple" section).
Plainwx's core features are free: plain-English decoding of METAR and TAF reports, saved airports, airport search, the Nearby map, airport detail (crosswind, forecast timeline, PIREPs), raw report access, and offline caching of your last-seen reports.
Plainwx Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription that unlocks:
Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets
The Apple Watch app and complications
Winds aloft (forecast winds and temperatures for your airports)
Category alerts (notifications when an airport's flight category changes)
Plainwx Pro is offered as:
Yearly — US$7.99 per year (or your region's equivalent), with a 3-day free trial for new subscribers
Weekly — US$1.99 per week (or your region's equivalent)
Gift — a one-time gifted year, US$5.99 (or your region's equivalent)
Apple always shows the exact price in your local currency before you confirm. From time to time we may offer promotional or price-test rates; the price shown at purchase is the price that applies.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. You manage or cancel your subscription in the App Store: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. We cannot cancel or refund a subscription for you — Apple controls billing. If you started a free trial, cancel at least 24 hours before it ends to avoid being charged; any unused portion of a trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
All payments are processed by Apple through your Apple ID. We do not handle or see your payment details. Refund requests are handled by Apple under their policies — request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
If Pro lapses, the app returns to the free version. Your saved airports, settings, and data remain; only the Pro features (widgets, Watch app, winds aloft, alerts) are locked until you resubscribe. You can restore an active subscription any time with "Restore" in Settings.
Plainwx is a convenience tool that presents publicly available aviation weather in plain language. It is not a certified source of aviation weather and must not be used as your sole source for flight planning or in-flight decisions.
Plainwx supplements — it does not replace — an official preflight weather briefing or any official aviation weather source (for example, an FAA-approved briefing service or your national aviation authority).
Weather data comes from the NOAA Aviation Weather Center and may be delayed, incomplete, cached, or temporarily unavailable. Always check the timestamp ("age") shown on each report, and the raw text, which is always one tap away.
Decoding is provided in good faith, but you are responsible for verifying weather against official raw reports and official sources.
The pilot in command is solely responsible for the safe conduct of every flight, including all weather-related decisions. Do not rely on Plainwx as your only source of weather information.
Plainwx does not host user content. Your saved airports and settings live on your own device (and your own iCloud account if enabled). See the Privacy Policy for details.
Use Plainwx only as intended and lawfully. Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, overload, or misuse the app or the third-party weather services it relies on, and do not use the app in any way that violates the terms of those services.
We may add, change, or remove features, and the underlying weather services may change or become unavailable, without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Plainwx is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ronak Vakhariya is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any decision made in reliance on the app. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, and your mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence are not affected.
Plainwx is distributed through Apple's App Store. Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide support or handle claims relating to the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them. We may update these Terms. Material changes will update the "Last updated" date above and be posted at this URL. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence still apply.
