Research showcase at the university festival, featuring smart glass and bracelets that change color when exposed to light irradiation. Visitors were able to experience the demonstration firsthand, and the children especially enjoyed watching the colors change.
The Science Promotion Seminar aims to showcase the beauty of scientific research and the cutting-edge technologies being developed at universities in Japan to undergraduate students in India and other developing countries. The goal is to inspire and motivate them to pursue higher studies in science. So far, organized seven such seminars, which have been highly successful and benefited more than 800 students. Over the past three years, I have organized the Sakura Science Program at Hokkaido University, through which more than 35 students from India have visited Japan. The program provided them with hands-on exposure to cutting-edge science and advanced technologies, as well as opportunities to interact with leading researchers and experience Japan’s research environment firsthand.
