Noticing that our school’s Computer Science department was pretty limited and lagging behind when it came to the latest tech, I decided to step up and start the “Pope John AI Club.” Mr. Myers, our Director of Technology and AP Computer Science Principles teacher thought it was a great idea but wanted me to put together a solid plan on paper. Plus, he needed signatures from students in other grades to show there was interest.

Even though it felt like a big task, I was determined to make it happen. I whipped up some eye-catching ads and plastered them around school to get the word out. I even gave a speech to a big crowd during lunch, talking about what the club would do and why everyone should join. I had our announcement made over the loudspeaker, too, just to make sure as many people heard about it as possible.

All my hard work paid off! I got all the signatures I needed and tackled the mountain of paperwork. Before I knew it, the Pope John AI Club was officially up and running, ready for students to dive into the exciting world of AI and tech!
