## Who We Are
Sweeply ("we", "us", "our") is a phone-cleaning application for iOS developed and maintained by Ints Graveris. If you have any questions about this policy, you can reach us at:

## The Short Version
Sweeply does **not** collect, store, or sell your personal data. All scanning — photos, videos, and contacts — happens entirely on your device. Nothing leaves your phone except what is needed to process a purchase.

## 1. What Data We Access and Why
### 1.1 Photo Library
**Permission:** Read and delete access to your photo library.
**What we do:** Sweeply reads the metadata of your photos and videos (file name, file size, dimensions, creation date) to identify duplicates, similar shots, screenshots, and large files. Thumbnail images are displayed on-screen so you can review results. No photo or video content is ever uploaded to our servers or any third-party server.
When you choose to delete items, Sweeply removes them from your library using the system API. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone within the app.
**What we do not do:** We do not upload, copy, share, or retain any photo or video content.

### 1.2 Contacts
**Permission:** Read and write access to your contacts.
**What we do:** Sweeply reads your contact list to detect duplicate or incomplete entries. All processing happens on-device. You review the results and choose which contacts to merge or delete. We do not upload, export, or share your contacts with anyone.

### 1.3 Camera
**Permission:** Camera access.
**What we do:** Sweeply may request camera access if you choose to capture a photo directly within the app and add it to your library. The camera is never accessed silently or in the background.

### 1.4 Notifications
**Permission:** Local notifications (no remote push server involved).
**What we do:** Sweeply may send local notifications to remind you to run a cleanup or to notify you when a scan is complete. These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device. We do not have a push notification server and cannot send you messages remotely.

### 1.5 Location
**Permission:** Optional location access (when-in-use only).
**What we do:** If granted, location data may be used locally to group photos taken at the same place. Location data is never transmitted off your device and is not stored beyond the current session.

## 2. Data We Do Not Collect
We do not collect or have access to:
- The content of your photos, videos, or contacts
- Your name, email address, or any account information
- Your IP address or device identifier
- Browsing history or usage patterns
- Any analytics or telemetry data
We have **no analytics SDK** integrated into Sweeply (no Firebase, Amplitude, Mixpanel, or equivalent).

## 3. In-App Purchases — RevenueCat
Sweeply uses **RevenueCat** to process in-app purchases (lifetime access). When you make a purchase, RevenueCat receives:
- A purchase receipt from Apple
- A randomly generated anonymous user identifier
- Your device's platform and app version
RevenueCat does **not** receive your Apple ID, real name, or payment card details — those remain between you and Apple. RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy

## 4. AI Features — Google Gemini
Sweeply uses the **Google Gemini API** for certain intelligent photo analysis features (such as blur detection). If this feature is active, a compressed thumbnail representation of a photo may be sent to Google's API to generate an analysis result. No photo is stored by Google beyond the duration of the API call, in accordance with Google's API terms of use.

We only use this feature when strictly necessary for the requested analysis and do so with the minimum data required.

## 5. Local Storage
Sweeply stores your in-app settings and scan results locally on your device using encrypted on-device storage (AsyncStorage + Redux Persist). This data includes:
- Your preferences (e.g. cleanup thresholds, auto-select settings)
- Scan result summaries (counts and sizes — not photo content)
- Purchase status (premium / free)
This data never leaves your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app.

## 6. Children's Privacy
Sweeply is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children. If you believe a child has used the app and you have concerns, please contact us at graveris.ints@gmail.com.

## 7. Data Retention
Because Sweeply does not collect personal data on our servers, there is no data for us to retain or delete on our end. Local app data is retained on your device until you delete the app.

## 8. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under applicable privacy laws (including GDPR, CCPA, and similar regulations):
- **Right to access** — to know what personal data is held about you
- **Right to deletion** — to have your personal data erased
- **Right to portability** — to receive your data in a portable format
- **Right to object** — to processing of your data
Since Sweeply does not collect or store personal data on our servers, most of these rights are satisfied automatically. For purchase-related data held by RevenueCat, you can contact RevenueCat directly or email us and we will assist you.
**California residents (CCPA):** We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising.

## 9. Security
All photo and contact scanning is performed locally on your device using native iOS APIs. No data is transmitted over the network except for purchase processing (RevenueCat) and optional AI analysis (Google Gemini), both of which use encrypted HTTPS connections.

Sweeply does not contain links to third-party websites or embed advertising networks.

## 11. Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of Sweeply after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
