Introduction
Welcome to PitchLine (“we”, “our”, “us”). We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your information. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application PitchLine (the “App”).
Information We Collect
(a) Personal Data
We do not collect, store, or share personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, or precise location.
(b) Usage Data (Anonymous)
To improve the app experience, we may collect limited, anonymous usage and technical data such as:
App version and device model
Basic interaction data (for example, feature usage, session length, button taps, and screen visits)
Crash logs and performance analytics (through Google Play services, Firebase, or similar tools, if used)
This data is not intended to directly identify you and is used to improve app performance, stability, and reliability.
(c) Microphone / Audio Input Data
PitchLine may access your device microphone to analyze sound input such as pitch, note, frequency, and vocal range in real time.
On-device Processing: Audio analysis is intended to occur on your device for the purpose of providing app features.
No Audio Upload by Us: We do not record, store, or upload your raw voice or microphone audio to our own servers.
Temporary Access Only: Microphone access is used only while the relevant feature is active or as required for the App to function.
If you deny microphone permission, core pitch detection features may not function properly or may be unavailable.
(d) Analysis Records / History / Settings
PitchLine may store app content such as:
Recent note, pitch, or range analysis records (if available)
Display and analysis preferences
Reference settings, visual options, or related app preferences
Saved history, timestamps, or recent activity (if available)
On-device Storage: These records are stored locally on your device.
No Upload by Us: We do not upload your saved records, settings, or analysis history to our own servers.
Sharing is User-Initiated: If you choose to export, copy, save, or share images or text, that content is handled by the destination app or service under its own privacy policy.
(e) Local App Data (Settings & Preferences)
PitchLine may store the following information locally on your device:
App settings and preferences (for example, language selection, display mode, sound settings, notation preferences, or UI options)
Local caches and app resources used for faster loading
This information is stored only on your device using local storage technologies such as SharedPreferences, local databases, or similar methods. We do not sync this data to our own servers.
(f) Advertising & Billing Data
If the App displays ads through Google AdMob or similar ad networks, those providers may collect advertising identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID) to show personalized or non-personalized ads. You can manage or opt out of personalized ads in your device settings.
The App may also use Google Play Billing or similar services to process in-app purchases, such as removing ads or unlocking premium features. Billing data, including purchase history, is handled by Google according to its own policies. We do not receive your full payment details.
(g) Notifications and Related Features
If enabled, the App may use local notifications, foreground services, or similar system features to support app behavior or alerts on supported devices.
These notifications are generated on your device. We do not use them to collect personal data.
(h) Clipboard / Export / Sharing Features (If Used)
If the App provides copy, export, screenshot, or share-related features, copied or shared content is handled through system services on your device. We do not receive clipboard contents or exported files.
Data Storage and Security
We do not store user data on our own servers. App settings, caches, and any saved records or preferences are stored locally on your device.
No personal data is transmitted externally by us, aside from what is handled by third-party services such as ads, analytics, and billing under their own policies.
We take reasonable measures within the scope of a mobile app to protect the data stored on your device, but you are also responsible for keeping your device secure.
Third-Party Services
The App may use third-party services that can collect information used to identify you or your device. These may include, but are not limited to:
Google AdMob – for displaying ads
Google Play Services / Firebase – for analytics, crash reporting, or diagnostics (if used)
Google Play Billing – for handling in-app purchases
These third parties have their own privacy policies that govern how they use your data. We encourage you to review their policies before using the App.
Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
