# PitBox Privacy Policy

PitBox is an app for keeping track of your vehicle's maintenance, expenses and
trips. It is developed by **Digue**, an independent developer in Panama.

## The essentials, in three lines
PitBox has no servers. All your information lives on your phone, and, if you
turn on backup, in **your own** Google Drive account. We do not sell your data,
we do not share it with advertising networks, and there is no database of ours
where it is stored.

## What information the app handles
Everything below is stored **only on your device**, in a local database.
### Your vehicle data
Make, model, year, license plate, odometer, maintenance services, fill-ups,
documents (insurance, inspections, permits), expenses, and their dates and
costs.
You type it in yourself and it does not leave the phone unless you turn on
backup.
### Location (GPS)
PitBox uses location to detect when you start driving and to measure the
distance and route of each trip.
- It is used **in the background too**, with the app closed. This is needed so a
trip is not cut off when the screen locks, which is why you will see a
permanent notification while a trip is active.
- The route is stored **on your phone**, as part of the trip history.
- It is **not sent to any server.** Nobody, not even the developer, can see
where you have driven.
- You can deny the permission: the app keeps working and you can log trips by
hand, but automatic detection will not be available.
### Bluetooth
If you set it up, PitBox detects the connection to your car's Bluetooth to know
that you started a trip. Only the identifier of the device you choose is saved.
No other data is accessed over Bluetooth.
### Camera and photos
You can attach photos to a maintenance record (an invoice, a part). The images
are stored in the app's storage, on your phone. The camera or gallery is only
accessed at the moment you ask for it.
### Notifications
They are used to warn you about upcoming or overdue maintenance, and to confirm
the start and end of a trip. They are generated on your phone; no notifications
are sent from any server.

## Backup on Google Drive (optional)
If you connect your Google account, PitBox can save a copy of your information
in **your own** Google Drive.
- The `drive.appdata` permission is used, which gives access to a **hidden folder
exclusive to the app**. PitBox cannot see, open or modify any other file in
your Drive.
- The copy stays in your account. The developer has no access to it.
- You can disconnect the account whenever you want, from Settings.
- You can review or delete that data from
`drive.google.com` → Settings → Manage apps → PitBox.
This feature is optional. If you do not turn it on, your information never
leaves the phone.

## Purchases and subscriptions
Purchases are processed through **Google Play**. PitBox never sees or receives
your card details.
To manage subscriptions, **RevenueCat**, a third-party service, is used.
RevenueCat receives:
- What you bought and when
- An **identifier of your Google account** (not your email)
That identifier is what allows your subscription to be restored if you change
phones or reinstall the app. RevenueCat **does not receive** your vehicles, your
trips, your location or your email address.

## Custom sprite
If you buy the custom sprite for your vehicle, you send us **by email** photos
of your car and its wheels, together with your purchase identifier.
- You send those photos yourself, voluntarily, and they arrive at
digue.apps@gmail.com.
- They are used **only** to draw your sprite.
- If you want them deleted after delivery, write to us and they are removed.

## Advertising
**PitBox does not show ads today and does not include any advertising network.**
If in the future the free version adds ads, this policy will be updated
**before** that happens, explaining what data would be used. The Premium version
will not show ads under any circumstances.

## What PitBox does NOT do
- It does not sell your data.
- It does not share it with advertising networks or data brokers.
- It has no servers of its own holding your information.
- It does not track your location outside the trips you record.
- It does not access your contacts, messages, calls or the rest of your Drive.

## Children
PitBox is intended for people with a driver's license and is not directed at
children under 13. Information from children under that age is not knowingly
collected.

## How to delete your information
- **From the phone:** uninstall the app. All local data is removed with it.
- **From Google Drive:** `drive.google.com` → Settings → Manage apps →
PitBox → Disconnect from Drive.
- **From your purchase history:** write to us at digue.apps@gmail.com and the
deletion of your records at RevenueCat is requested.
- **From the photos you sent by email:** write to us and they are deleted.
For any request about your data, the contact email is
**digue.apps@gmail.com**. We reply within a reasonable time.

If anything relevant changes, this page and the date in the header will be
updated. Important changes, such as the introduction of ads, will be announced

## Lo esencial, en tres líneas
PitBox no tiene servidores. Toda tu información vive en tu teléfono, y si
activas el respaldo, en **tu propia** cuenta de Google Drive. No vendemos tus
datos, no los compartimos con redes publicitarias y no existe ninguna base de
datos nuestra donde estén guardados.

## Qué información maneja la aplicación
Todo lo que sigue se guarda **únicamente en tu dispositivo**, en una base de
datos local.
### Datos de tu vehículo
Marca, modelo, año, placa, odómetro, servicios de mantenimiento, repostajes,
documentos (seguro, revisiones, permisos), gastos y sus fechas y costos.
Los escribes tú y no salen del teléfono salvo que actives el respaldo.
### Ubicación (GPS)
PitBox usa la ubicación para detectar cuándo empiezas a conducir y para medir la
distancia y el recorrido de cada viaje.
- Se usa **también en segundo plano**, con la app cerrada. Es necesario para que
un viaje no se corte al bloquear la pantalla, y por eso verás una notificación
permanente mientras hay un viaje activo.
- El recorrido se guarda **en tu teléfono**, como parte del historial del viaje.
- **No se envía a ningún servidor.** Nadie, ni el desarrollador, puede ver por
dónde has conducido.
- Puedes negar el permiso: la app sigue funcionando y podrás registrar viajes a
mano, pero la detección automática no estará disponible.
### Bluetooth
Si lo configuras, PitBox detecta la conexión al Bluetooth de tu carro para saber
que arrancaste un viaje. Solo se guarda el identificador del dispositivo que tú
elijas. No se accede a ningún otro dato por Bluetooth.
### Cámara y fotos
Puedes adjuntar fotos a un registro de mantenimiento (una factura, una pieza).
Las imágenes se guardan en el almacenamiento de la app, en tu teléfono. Solo se
accede a la cámara o a la galería en el momento en que tú lo pides.
### Notificaciones
Se usan para avisarte de mantenimientos próximos o vencidos, y para confirmar el
inicio y el fin de un viaje. Se generan en tu teléfono; no hay notificaciones
enviadas desde ningún servidor.

## Respaldo en Google Drive (opcional)
Si conectas tu cuenta de Google, PitBox puede guardar una copia de tu
información en **tu propio** Google Drive.
- Se usa el permiso `drive.appdata`, que da acceso a una **carpeta oculta y
exclusiva de la aplicación**. PitBox no puede ver, abrir ni modificar ningún
otro archivo de tu Drive.
- La copia queda en tu cuenta. El desarrollador no tiene acceso a ella.
- Puedes desconectar la cuenta cuando quieras, desde Ajustes.
- Puedes revisar o borrar esos datos desde
`drive.google.com` → Configuración → Gestionar aplicaciones → PitBox.
Esta función es opcional. Si no la activas, tu información nunca sale del
teléfono.

## Compras y suscripciones
Las compras se procesan a través de **Google Play**. PitBox nunca ve ni recibe
los datos de tu tarjeta.
Para gestionar las suscripciones se usa **RevenueCat**, un servicio de terceros.
RevenueCat recibe:
- Qué compraste y cuándo
- Un **identificador de tu cuenta de Google** (no tu correo)
Ese identificador es lo que permite devolverte tu suscripción si cambias de
teléfono o reinstalas la aplicación. RevenueCat **no recibe** tus vehículos, tus
viajes, tu ubicación ni tu correo electrónico.

## Sprite personalizado
Si compras el sprite personalizado de tu vehículo, nos envías **por correo
electrónico** fotos de tu carro y de tus llantas, junto con el identificador de
tu compra.
- Esas fotos las envías tú, voluntariamente, y llegan al correo
digue.apps@gmail.com.
- Se usan **únicamente** para dibujar tu sprite.
- Si quieres que se borren después de la entrega, escríbenos y se eliminan.

## Publicidad
**PitBox no muestra anuncios hoy y no incluye ninguna red publicitaria.**
Si en el futuro la versión gratuita incorpora anuncios, esta política se
actualizará **antes** de que ocurra, explicando qué datos se usarían. La versión
Premium no mostrará anuncios en ningún caso.

## Lo que PitBox NO hace
- No vende tus datos.
- No los comparte con redes publicitarias ni con corredores de datos.
- No tiene servidores propios con tu información.
- No rastrea tu ubicación fuera de los viajes que registras.
- No accede a tus contactos, mensajes, llamadas ni al resto de tu Drive.

## Menores
PitBox está pensada para personas con licencia de conducir y no está dirigida a
menores de 13 años. No se recopila información a sabiendas de menores de esa
edad.

## Cómo borrar tu información
- **Del teléfono:** desinstala la aplicación. Todos los datos locales se
eliminan con ella.
- **De Google Drive:** `drive.google.com` → Configuración → Gestionar
aplicaciones → PitBox → Desconectar de Drive.
- **De tu historial de compras:** escríbenos a digue.apps@gmail.com y se
solicita la eliminación de tus registros en RevenueCat.
- **De las fotos que enviaste por correo:** escríbenos y se borran.
Para cualquier solicitud sobre tus datos, el correo de contacto es
**digue.apps@gmail.com**. Se responde en un plazo razonable.

## Cambios a esta política
Si cambia algo relevante, se actualizará esta página y la fecha del
encabezado. Los cambios importantes —como la incorporación de anuncios— se
anunciarán dentro de la propia aplicación.
