Take classes in your first few years with other PISCES Scholars and have a built-in study group.
PISCES Scholars have the first chance to learn how to conduct research and use state-of-the-art equipment during their first year at BSU. This will give you the confidence to present your research to your family and peers.
PISCES Scholars can earn $450 stipends each semester (on top of the $7,000 scholarship) for participating in research, service or outreach activities, being a tutor, or participating in a STEM or social justice themed student organization.
All PISCES Scholars have a faculty mentor and a professional STEM coach. PISCES is partnering with regional alumni and professional organizations to provide work-related mentoring opportunities to all PISCES scholars.
PISCES Scholars will participate in a STEM Service Learning course where they learn about how STEM is perceived in different cultures and create events that excite a love for science, mathematics and engineering with K-12 students.
