Pip's Island - Terms of Use (EULA)
Last updated: 19 September 2026
Acceptance
By downloading or using Pip's Island: Calm Maths ("the app"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. The app is designed for children aged 5 to 9 and is set up and managed by a parent, carer or teacher. If you are a grown-up setting up the app for a child, you accept these Terms on the child's behalf and you are responsible for the child's use of the app.
Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on Apple-branded devices you own or control, in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
Free features and Pip Premium
The app is free to download and use. Pip, the daily session, this week's summary, every calm and accessibility setting, level control, reminders and the free curriculum topics are free forever. Pip Premium is an optional in-app purchase that unlocks the full curriculum, up to four children and the full Growth Report with 12-week history and PDF export. It is available as a yearly subscription, a monthly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. The current prices are shown in the app and on the App Store and may vary by region.
Subscriptions, free trial and cancellation
Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or at the end of the free trial unless you cancel before it ends. The free trial on the yearly plan is available once per Apple Account. Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel a subscription in Settings, Apple Account, Subscriptions on your device, or from the Grown-ups area in the app. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. The lifetime purchase is a one-time, non-consumable purchase with no recurring charge. Purchases support Family Sharing and can be restored on any device signed in to the same Apple Account using Restore in the app.
Refunds
Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store Terms; we cannot grant refunds directly. You can request a refund from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Educational content disclaimer
The app is provided for general educational purposes only. Its activities, levels and Growth Report are simplified illustrations of a child's practice in the app and are not an assessment, diagnosis or professional educational, psychological or medical advice, and they are not a substitute for teaching, a school's assessment or the advice of a qualified professional. Working levels in the app are set by a gentle placement or by a grown-up and are not a statement about a child's ability.
Parental gate and children
Settings, links out of the app and all purchases sit behind a parental gate. The gate is a simple deterrent, not a security measure; grown-ups remain responsible for purchases made on their devices and for supervising use of the app. Apple's Ask to Buy and Screen Time controls are available for additional protection.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the app, attempt to reverse engineer it (except where permitted by law), or use it for any unlawful purpose.
Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Apple
These Terms are between you and A I K A T E K LTD only, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. Apple has no obligation to furnish support or handle any claims relating to the app.
Changes
We may update these Terms; continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. Material changes will be announced in the app's release notes.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
