SHARE THE SHORE. Remember, plovers don't stay within their symbolic fenced areas. They like to go to the shoreline, too
Remind people you are with to be on the lookout for tiny plovers running on the sand
Take all your trash out with you. Bonus points if you pick up extra beach litter and plastics!
Don't bring your dog to the beach
Don't fly kites or drones
If you dig holes in the sand, fill them back up before you leave. Tiny chicks can fall in and may not be able to climb back out
Share what you've learned about piping plovers with your family and friends!
