Privacy Policy

PING is built to keep your data private. This policy explains, in plain language, what stays on your device and the one thing that ever leaves it.
THE SHORT VERSION
Your training data lives on your device. PING has no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking. The only thing that ever leaves your phone is an anonymous statistical summary sent to an AI service when you request an insight, and only then.
WHAT PING STORES ON YOUR DEVICE
- Your sessions and every trial in them, including times, accuracy, and false starts
- Context you choose to log, such as sleep, caffeine, and exercise
- The name and age you optionally enter
- Your preferences and your Deep Dive credit balance
- Any AI reports you generate
All of this is stored locally on your device. Nothing is uploaded, synced, or backed up by us. Deleting the app deletes all of it.
AI FEATURES
When you run a Deep Dive, ask a follow-up question, or receive a short insight, PING sends an anonymous, aggregated summary of your statistics over an encrypted connection to a third-party AI provider, which generates the text. This summary can include per-mode averages, time-of-day patterns, recent trends, the context you logged, and your age if you set one.
We never send your name, your individual sessions or trials, identifiers, location, or contacts. The generated report is stored only on your device. If you never use the AI features, nothing leaves your device at all.
PURCHASES
Deep Dive credit packs are one-time purchases handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details. Your credit balance is stored locally on your device.
EXPORT
The CSV export is started by you and shared only with the apps or people you choose in the share sheet.
WHAT WE DO NOT DO
- No accounts
- No third-party analytics or advertising
- No selling or sharing of your data
- No cross-app tracking, which is why PING never shows an App Tracking Transparency prompt
YOUR CONTROLS
- Skip name and age. Every feature except the age percentile works without them.
- Use Reset in Settings to erase all sessions and reports.
- Delete the app to remove all locally stored data.
CHILDREN
PING is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13.
CHANGES
We may update this policy. The effective date above shows the latest version.
