Non Pilot Certifications:
For a non pilot certifications, go down to the Flight portion of the tryout and carry it out [Per Their Battalions M.O.] . Once completed go over the procedures found in the handbook with them.
All portions of this tryout will require a GM, call for one once you close the tryout. The amount of time that the tryout takes is completely dependent on the Trainer, but is at the mercy of the GM. Should the training be cut short due to the GM disconnecting or not having time, then the Trainee must be graded on their performance up until that point or a new GM can be called.
Tryout Announcements:
/advert Regimental Pilot tryouts are happening right now in MHB. SGT+ Only. 1st/2nd/3rd Call
/advert Regi Pilot tryouts are now closed! PM if lost/late.
/advert Republic Airspace is now CLOSED! Trainees, all TO and LDNG requests are Pre-Auth.
The Regimental Pilot trainee should understand that the tryouts are operating on a THREE STRIKE SYSTEM, and each and every strike given must be clearly given and every strike must have a reason behind it. The strikes for each section will be found at the bottom of every respective section. Strikes will only apply to the certification Section you are on. If a Cert is failed, the trainee will need to be retrained at a later date. If a Trainee fails all sections they will fail the tryout.
Ex. If Jimmy completes the transport cert in 2 strikes, he will start the interceptor portion with 0 strikes. Needing to be recertified for whatever they failed.ย
Flight Certifications
Transport Certification
Infantry Transportation
All Regimental Pilots will have the ability to spawn a LAAT/i, and will need to be familiarized with the way it works. Their settings, for this round, MUST follow the controls outlined in the "How to Use VTOL" section of "How Airframes Work" found in the "Regulations & Procedures". There will be no exceptions.ย
Once their controls have been set up, explain how taking off and landing works. Each section has a pre-typed out Advert that the trainee will use.ย ย

The Trainee must then complete a course as designated by the Trainer which tests the Trainees ability to fly low, land and take off quickly, and to avoid obstacles in the way. The Trainer must tailor the flight experience to the Trainee's battalion and enact simulated scenarios by verbally testing the Trainee while in flight.ย
For example :ย
Trainer "There is a group of clones pinned down by a large CIS force. What do you do?"
501st Trainee "I would shoot at any CIS droids I see to help them out."
Conversations such as these are more than acceptable, but MUST be initiated from Trainer to the Trainee and not the other way around.
When the practical flying has ended, the Trainee will land using the following advert

Destroyed LAAT/i = 1 Strike
Vehicle Transportation
This section trains a Pilots ability to fly and transport vehicles from Point A to Point B as determined by the Trainer. The Trainee must be given a LAAT/c as spawned in by a GM, and also be given an ATTE spawned in another location.
/advert 000T this is LAAT/c Trainee, Requesting TO from HB | Reason: Training
The Trainee will be guided by the Trainer who will be in a fighter of their choice. The Trainee will be given directions on where to pick up the ATTE. Once the Trainee has acquired the ATTE and TX130, The trainer will inform them of where they must bring the ATTE. Do this 2-3 times

This portion does not have strikes, if the trainee struggles here, continue with the certifications and circle back at the end to let them practice more.
Interceptor Certification
Air to Air Combat
This segment will test the Trainee's Air-to-Air Combat ability, and will identify to the Trainer, where the Trainee must work on in order to become effective in Air to Air Combat for their brothers and sisters in the Galactic Republic. Though Air-to-Air is a focus for some battalions, we still need everyone trained incase they are needed to defend the skies.
/advert 000T this is V-Wing Trainee, requesting TO from HB | Reason: Training
The Trainer must have the GM spawn 2-3 waves of CIS Vulture and Tri-Droid fighters. EACH WAVE WILL HAVE A MAX OF 2 FIGHTERS PER TRAINIEE. The Regimental Pilot Trainee must then successfully shoot down all Vulture and Tri-Droid Fighters.

Once they have completed this portion of the training, this will end the Pilot Tryouts.
Every Vehicle Lost = 0.5 Strike
Close Air Support / Interdiction
This section meets CAS and Interdiction Requirements. Everyone will be trained in the Arc, but only 41st and RANCORย will need to be trained with the V-Wing.
This Section is for 41st and RANCOR Regimental Pilots, as they are entrusted with interdiction missions, which means that they go behind enemy lines and harass the enemy away from the active lines of battle. Thus allowing less enemy pressure on our attacking force. They strike fast and are deadly with aim!ย
This section will also serve as Ground Attack Training (GAT) and will satisfy the requirements for the 2121th, 501st, and the self-defense needs of the 104th. All other pilots are trained incase of urgent missions. GAT is intended to test and train a pilot's ability to perform CAS in their respective air platforms.ย Theyย
The Trainer must call a GM and ask the GM to spawn several groups of B1's (300 Health) where possible, and the Trainer must direct the Trainee to seek and destroy all enemy ground forces. This can consist of vehiclesย but the focus should be the ground troops.

The amount of ground forces on the ground is dictated by the Trainer, and when the Trainer feels that the Trainee has successfully demonstrated their ability to destroy Ground Units, they may conclude their tryouts.

This would conclude the tryout.
Once the tryout is concluded, the Trainer must inform the Trainee whether or not they passed, and reopen the airspace by sending the following advert.
/advert Republic Airspace is now OPEN. All Pilots resume normal operations.
Additional Certifications
Separate from Tryout. Check Rank requirement for certification before certifying people.
Bomber Certification: PILOT +
TO BE DONE ON THE TOWN SIDE OF SOG MAP NOT NEAR BASE!!!
/advert 000T this is Y-Wing Trainee, Requesting TO from HB | Reason: Training
To start this portion off, have the trainee take off and get used to flying the bomber around. Once comfortable with flying, a stationary AAT target will be placed down (DO NOT AI THE TANK), having the trainee practice dropping bombs on the target until they destroy 2-3. Once the trainee is ready, have the GM spawn in a group of B1โsย spread around the same open area. (300 health max). The bomber will be tasked with taking out these groups of B1โs. Once done, have them land!
