In this introductory mosaic class you'll have fun creating a beautiful Sparkle Christmas Tree on barnboard (24” x 4”). You’ll have all kinds of colourful sparkly beads to create your project as well as cute embellishments to finish it off! There will be lots of fun colours to choose from. Learn the basics of rug hooking and complete your own piece of fibre art.
In this class you will learn the basics of how to hook. You will learn how to pull a loop, the common materials and equipment used and techniques on how to finish your rugs. You will also learn a little bit about the history of rug hooking in the Maritimes and have a chance to see a few traditional rugs. You will complete a small piece of art (5'x5') for your wall from start to finish and take it home ready to hang. Most of all, you'll have a chance to have some fun and chat with others just like a traditional hook-in.

Do you have Grandma’s fine china hanging out in your china cabinet and no one wants it? Bring a cup and saucer or a plate to this class and I'll teach you how to turn them into 2 beautiful ornaments that will be treasured for years.
You’ll learn how to nip china using double wheeled nippers, how to use ball chain to form a delicate edging, what adhesive to use and how to grout your ornaments.
You’ll have a choice of ornament shapes and ribbon will be supplied to hang your ornaments. If you don’t have your own china teacup or plate, I will have a selection of teacups and saucers for you to use.

Create a custom fit pair of hand sewn leather moccasins. You get to choose leather & fur colours. Plus pick all bead colours as well as beading pattern. All necessary supplies & equipment needed is supplied. Three afternoons of instruction plus a little homework and you'll have a pair of custom fit moccasins plus you'll be able to make more for anyone.

Add a touch of nature to your wardrobe with a mystical Tree of Life pendant. In this workshop, you will learn how to twist and shape ordinary jewelry wire into a beautiful tree. You will have an assortment of wire, beads, stones, and findings to choose from to make at least one pendant or keychain (or two, if you’re a quick learner!). Instructions on jewelry-making techniques will be provided as needed on an individual basis.
All necessary tools will be available, but if you already have your own jewelry-making pliers, feel free to bring them.

Let’s get together to learn about painting animals in acrylics. Students will learn about animal anatomy postures, focal points, painting and glazing techniques to learn how to paint realistic beautiful animals.
All materials are provided for students during class.
No previous painting experience required. All skill levels welcome. Feel free to bring a smock, sketchbook and a pencil. Students are welcome to bring their own animal reference photo/picture of choice they wish to paint during the class; some reference pictures will be provided.

Learn to sew a basic tote bag.
In this class, Susan will teach you how to line your bag, how to box the corners, and how to attach straps using webbing, as well as some other useful tricks in bag-making. Once you learn how to make the basic tote bag, you can use this knowledge to make a basic tote bag of any size.
So, if you’ve been wanting to try bag-making, this may be the class for you.
