## 1. Overview
PII Remover is a macOS app that detects and removes personally identifiable information (PII) from text before you share it with AI assistants or third-party services. This policy describes how data is handled when you use the app.
## 2. Data we process
The app processes text you paste, type, or open from a file you choose (via the file picker, drag-and-drop, or Open With from Finder). Detection runs entirely on your device using pattern matching — no text ever leaves your Mac during this process. Two timestamps (first launch and last review request) are stored locally in UserDefaults to manage the App Store review prompt; no other data is persisted.
## 3. Collection and sharing
The developer does not receive, does not collect, and does not sell or share your text contents, file lists, or other personal data through PII Remover itself. The app does not include built-in analytics, advertising SDKs, or developer-operated servers.
## 4. Clipboard
The app can read from and write to the macOS clipboard when you use the paste or copy buttons. This is a standard system operation; clipboard contents are not transmitted externally.
## 5. Third parties
When you explicitly click Recommend or Write a Review, the app opens the App Store listing in your browser via macOS. The in-app review prompt uses Apple's StoreKit framework. Both are governed by Apple's privacy policies — PII Remover does not automatically connect to any external service.
## 6. Changes
We may update this policy if the app's behavior changes materially. You can request the current version at developer@zinno.app.
