Installation Instructions for LockDown Browser on Windows Laptop

Visit the download page by copying and pasting the following URL into your browser:
https://download.respondus.com/lockdown/download.php?id=922955855
Click on the "Install Now" button.
Wait for the download to complete.
Locate and run the "LockDownBrowser-2-#-#-##.exe" file.
Confirm the installation by clicking "Yes."
Select "English (United States)" as the language.
Accept the license agreement by clicking "Next."
Click "Next" to proceed with the installation.
Click "Finish" to complete the setup.

Open the "LockDownBrowser.pkg" file.
Confirm the installation by clicking "Yes."
Choose "English (United States)" as the language.

Complete the setup by clicking "Finish."

LockDown Browser is necessary for online assessments, including exams and quizzes.
Use the same login credentials as your Canvas account, and ensure that your domain (@pihms.ac.nz) is correct.
Keep LockDown Browser up to date for online assessments.
Note that LockDown Browser will disable other applications on your laptop to prevent cheating.
The browser does not support copy and paste functionality or a "Remember password" feature, so remember your password or use an easily memorable one.
Depending on the assessment, LockDown Browser may use your laptop's webcam to monitor you during the online assessment as an anti-cheating measure.
