Bankwest supports new courts
Members of the Capital Area Pickleball Association joined Bankwest leaders for a photo on August 26, 2021 in celebration of a $5,000 Bankwest contribution to the Capital Area Pickleball Court Complex. The new pickleball courts will be located west of the tennis courts in Griffin Park and are scheduled for construction in May 2022.

Their generosity lit a fire within our community! Only $50,000 remaining before we reach our goal! Thank you Scott and team!!
SDCF gives $10,000 grant
The South Dakota Community Foundation stepped up big for Pierre and Ft. Pierre with a $10,000 grant to support the construction of the Capital Area Pickleball Court complex. Everyone is getting behind this project! Thank you South Dakota Community Foundation for your support!
We are partnering with the city of Pierre and other great entities to raise $250,000 by May 2022 to build four dedicated pickleball courts in Griffin Park. These courts will allow for the sport of pickleball to be played as intended and available to novice and veteran players alike. It will also help our town become a more desirable place to live and visit, and will attract hundreds of pickleball players each year for tournaments and pick-up play. Economic development and valuable local amenity all wrapped into one.
