Re Sound Design
Overview of a re sound design session in Reaper.
In this video I explain my workflow and approach to design boss signature attacks.
I used mostly Phaseplant to synthesize several base layers and bank audio, with heavy processing (KiloHeartz, Fabfilter, Xfer).

I recorded some gameplay to work on creature fight, voice and combat design, using recorded audio, wavetable synthesis and bank audio for layering.

My goal was to practice "earcandy" sound design to match the commercial paste, using recorded audio with proximity microphones, wavetable synthesis and bank audio.

I enhanced this scene by designing heavy gunshot, and by using IEM plugins to create a binaural sound. I crafted each sounds using synthesis or bank audio.
