Pierce's initial interest in racing came from a model stock car when he was only a few days old. Through his early years, he took interest in watching different races on television and in person. From age 10, he began to visit local rental kart tracks around the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania region. During middle and high school, he took part in multiple rental kart leagues and regional autocross events to work on building confidence, experience, and speed. While attending the University of Northwestern Ohio for his High-Performance degree, he took a brief hiatus from behind a steering wheel. This didn't last long, however, as he quickly found himself back at go kart tracks only a few months into college. After dominating a league season at a track with zero experience, having set numerous track records at facilities all over the country over the years, he took part in the American E Kart Championship. Third in the championship at the end of the 2019 season, he realized that the time to move into formula cars was quickly approaching.
With minimal experience up to this point in a formula car, Pierce went through the Bertil Roos Racing School, Lucas Oil Racing School, and Skip Barber Racing School formula car programs over the next two years during the COVID-19 Pandemic. During this time, Pierce's first official formula car race came with the Challenge Cup Series and Advantage Motorsports at the Pittsburgh International Race Complex. Whilst not qualifying near the front, he relied on his close quarters karting experience to make his way up the field.
As the world began to return to normalcy, Pierce moved to Indianapolis in late 2021 to continue his racing aspirations. Over the following two years, he competed with Barron Racing in Formula Vee events with the Sportscar Vintage Racing Association. Quickly making an impression on 20 to 30 car fields, he has found the podium in every event since his second weekend in the car.
In 2024, Pierce began experimenting with Formula 2000 and Formula 1000 machinery with Arrive Drive Motorsports in addition to his Barron Racing duties. Having bagged podium finishes at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Circuit of the Americas in the Vee, he won both Formula 2000 races on debut with the SVRA Group 9 class during the Indy weekend. Displaying enough in the 2000, he hopped in the Formula 1000 for the first time at the Circuit of the Americas. Having qualified 6th in the first session against a field of Atlantic classed Swifts, he ran the quickest time in the second qualifying session, netting him 5th place for the first of two races. Suffering from two small moments, he finished 9th in the first race. In the second race, he drove from 8th to 5th.
With 2026 now here, Pierce is now residing in Philadelphia and is driving for Barron Racing in Sportscar Vintage Racing Association events across the United States. For more details on Pierce's 2026 aspirations, visit the 2026 Plans page.
