Current Research
My areas of specialization fall within the fields of human dimensions of wildlife conservation and environmental economics, specifically:
Wildlife conservation: tolerance for wildlife, determinants of human-wildlife conflicts, public and stakeholder support for the conservation of endangered and threatened species, and the impacts of wildlife trade on wildlife and habitat conservation
Financial and non-financial incentives for private and communal lands stewardship and conservation
Engaging key stakeholders and the public in measures to prevent species invasions and the spread of wildlife and zoonotic pathogens
Stated preference estimation: the implementation of contingent valuation and stated preference choice experiments to determine the value that people place on the conservation of species and ecosystem services
