2021 Program Lineup
In-person meetings and programs are slowly coming back. Here is what we've done and what's in the works for 2021.
March
Our first in-person meeting in a year! No formal program. We took time to meet each other again and get reacquainted. Lots of lovely quilts were shared!
May
Rhonda Kistler shared a program on modern vs. traditional quilts and sparked some great conversations! Here are some the quilters she mentioned in her research.
The Geeky Bobbin; Sew Kind of Wonderful; Jaybird Quilts; Meadow Mist Designs; Stitches of Love; Tales of the Cloth; Wendt Quilting; Quilting Jetgirl; Seams Like a Dream; Quilt Addicts Anonymous (located in QCA); Modern Quilt Guild
June
Even though we had to cancel our quilt show in 2020, we still displayed and voted on the challenge quilts that our members made. The kit included a specific pink fabric and quilters created a piece so that this fabric wove or wound its way through the quilt top. You just had to have 3" of it along both sides of the quilt. The quilts would be hung to "connect" the pink from quilt to quilt. We had seven wonderful quilts on display! And the winners were: 1st Place: Kathy Roche; 2nd Place: Vicky Metelka; 3rd Place: Donna Sproston. See photos of all quilts.
