Before I got my Nikon D3300 SLR camera, I had not really learned photography on purpose. Even until now I haven't learned much about it. I'd like to combine this interest with cycling if someone with the same thought can join me in the future. I've always imaged someday I can cycle far from Chengdu with a camera and friends to capture those beautiful scenes. Below shows some of my photos categorized by devices from old to new. Some of them are just everyday life records. Some are captured with a lot of hard work. Feel free to view some of my work on Flickr.
For a long time before Grade 12, I had only got a Kodak DX7440 to play with. Although it only has very limited manual mode, I found myself pretty obsessed with it. Sadly, the camera's time resets every time after removing its battery. Most of the photos are out of orders. Here are some samples of it.
A Motorola Android phone with a full keyboard.
Although it has no manual mode, I managed to make some thing interesting with it. Thanks for KonradIT for his GoPro hack guide.
Thank my friend Zinan Liu for letting me play with his camera. He is so good at playing piano. Sadly we lost contact after graduate from high school.
A compact SLR camera which I got before going to university.
Here's the photo I'd like to introduce independently. I captured it in my journey to Qinghai Lake after graduating from high school. I was trying the method created by Masahiro Miyasaka, which can capture flowers at close range and stars far away at the same time. Here is a tutorial in Chinese. With a automatic aperture lens, I managed to change the focal length instead of changing aperture size during the long exposure process. By the way, the flowers were carefully illuminated with my phone screen after changing the focal length.
