My name is Cheng Zhang (章程 in Chinese). I'm studying at SICE of UESTC as an undergraduate student. I'm currently interested in SLAM. Here is my GitHub page. You can contact me at 850576570@qq.com. If you are using Tencent QQ, feel free to add me to your list.
This website is made to post some of my projects and to learn from your feedback and suggestions. Please never mind leaving some comments in the comment section (after I add it 😂) or contacting me through email or QQ. As a student, I'd like to keep exploring and leave my past behind. Trying to slow down my pace and summarize my past is another reason to make this site. Also, I'd like to make some friends through it too. By the way, please pardon me for my poor website making knowledge and Chinglish.
Although I'm trying hard to make my projects clear and useful, some of them might be too old to maintain. And as I said before, I'd like to move on fast and try some new things. So many of my projects lack detailed documentation. I will try to improve this situation on my future projects. Most of my projects are open-source. Please feel free to make use of them.
This website is inspired by Lukas Lao Beyer's website. He did some really awesome projects worth learning. What I've done is far simpler than his. But I'm trying to catch up with him.
With a purpose of making friends, I'd like to introduce some of my interests in the following section.
I put most of my passion into RC aircraft in my years as a high school student (before that I like playing computer games like many people of my age). I'd like to thank my grandfather for supporting me on this interest through which I learned about some basic aerodynamic knowledge, handcrafting, soldering and electronics. Sadly, after the announcement of a total ban on model aircraft in Chengdu Downtown, I had less chance to play with RC aircraft. Here I'd like to show you some of my fly places and few of my handcrafted RC model.
Before I got my Nikon D3300 SLR camera, I had not really learned photography on purpose. Even until now I haven't learned much about it. I'd like to combine this interest with cycling if someone with the same thought can join me in the future. I've always imaged someday I can cycle far from Chengdu with a camera and friends to capture those beautiful scenes. Below shows some of my photos categorized by device from old to new. Some of them are just everyday life records. Some are captured with a lot of hard work.
I cycled around Chengdu with friends in my years at high school. Sometimes I took my RC aircraft to places broad enough. Sometimes it's just for fun and sceneries. After graduating from high school, I found fewer people around me willing to cycle out of campus with a purpose of relaxing and having fun. Maybe it's just because of my small interpersonal circle.
I always get some inspiration from games, TV series, films, books and music. Here I'd like to introduce some of my favourites. Hope they can bring you some inspiration too.
