The Town of Whitby is running a free parking pilot in Downtown Whitby. Until September, parking is free for up to four hours in Municipal Lot 5 (215 Colborne Street East) and Lot 6 (138 Perry Street). After four hours, regular parking fees apply.

Payment Options: Pay on arrival at the kosk or on the HonkMobile app (the first 4 hours in the app will be noted as free). Scan the QR code to learn more or visit whitby.ca/Parking.
According to the Town of Whitby Parking Information website, metered parking and municipal parking lots are free of charge if you are displaying a valid accessible parking permit in your vehicle.

According to a May 27, 2026 article from Whitby This Week, Municipal Parking Lot #5 (Green Street / Colborne Street) in downtown Whitby offers 4-hour free parking from June 1 to September 30, 2026.
