My Teaching Philosophy for Physiology

Physiology is a unique course because most of you will be directly taking your knowledge and applying it to whatever career in healthcare you decide to pursue. Because of that, I am dedicated to providing a rigorous experience that will prepare you for that career. In other words, there is no easy ‘A’ in this class, but upon successful completion of the course you will be ready for that future career.

Despite the rigor of the course, I wish for all my students to be successful. To that aim, I have prepared activities, assignments, etc. meant to prepare you for the main indicator of success in this class, exams. What I need from you is a constant willingness to learn, acceptance of challenges, and an ability to ask for help when needed. I cannot drag you out from bed if you don’t feel like coming to class, but if you can meet me halfway there is a lot I can do to help.
