WELCOME TO PHYS-TIKTOK

What is TikTok?

In the 5 years since the famous lip syncing app, Musically merged to create TikTok, a massive community amassing over 1.37 BILLION USERS had come together to create videos of all sorts, with varying themes from funny to serious. In recent days, its been found that many people have used TikTok to be informed of recent events! The main current video format, from 15 - 60 seconds long, usually packs a ton of information to keep the viewer interested and more knowleadgable, "I was today years old when I found out...". Many teachers around the world have already started using TikTok as an output for teaching their students. As a physics professor, my goal is to help my students learn physics, while having fun doing so.

Physics and TikTok

Tik-Tok is very popular among young and old! But physics is not popular among young and old. My effort is to develop a fun-filled environment in the physics classroom through Tik-Tok videos. It's going to be more like a "Phys -TikTok" type of thing! We will use as many tools of Tik-Tok to pass the message across the classroom within a short period. Can you mix music? Of course, you can! Animations, pictures, dancing, demonstrations, anything is welcome.

There aren't many (or any) physics Tik-Tok s around us. But there is a rising tendency in using Tik-Tok videos in academia, particularly in language classes - Spanish for sure. Let's see how it goes. Let's learn Physics through Tik-Tok s.
