Course Overview

The Putnam High School Vision of a Putnam Learner (VoPL) Capstone is a culmination of the educational journey at Putnam High, designed to showcase students' growth and mastery of the VoPL standards. Throughout their high school career, students have been cultivating their skills and abilities across six standards: Citizen, Communicator, Critical Thinker, Leader, Explorer, and Learner.

In addition to creating a comprehensive digital portfolio that showcases their growth and achievements in relation to the VoPL standards, students will also complete their Capstone project and have the opportunity to work closely with mentors and community members to explore how their learning extends beyond the classroom and into the broader community.  Throughout the capstone experience, students will be challenged to think critically, communicate effectively, and demonstrate leadership in various contexts. Successful completion of this course will serve as a testament to their readiness for college, career, and lifelong learning, as well as their dedication to embodying the ideals of the Putnam High School Vision of a Putnam Learner.
