Armed Drill

Armed drill is a team that competes in multiple competitions throughout the school year. The armed drill consists of an inspection and marching with rifles. At competitions the team is asked questions by inspectors and judged on their bearing, knowledge, and rifle movements.

Armed Exhibition

The exhibition team competes by performing a sequence of marching and rifle drill, but the drill they use is not regulated and they are able to do many moves that would otherwise be prohibited (spinning rifles, tossing rifles, throwing rifles, etc.).

Color Guard

This special team is held to the highest standard and represents the program. The team is trained with the goal of team bonding, leadership and doing the best. They perform at competitions as well as ceremonies for anything from football games to military balls. In competition the team is judged on their bearing, rifle drill, flag drill, marching, and knowledge. This team is much more formal than the other teams and is dressed in class A.

Unarmed Drill

The team is an unarmed drill team that competes throughout the school year. The unarmed drill team focuses on inspections as well as the marching. It trains the team for competitions in which the whole team is asked questions by inspectors and judged on their bearing and knowledge. It’s a team that is sharp and is exact,.

Unarmed Exhibition (Freestyle)

The exhibition team competes by performing a sequence of unarmed drills that is not regulated in order to make interesting movements to impress judges. In their routines they use their body as an instrument (clapping, snapping, stomping, etc.).

Marksmanship

This team trains cadets to be focused and precise. They shoot air rifles along with metal pellets. The commander (cadet) of the marksmanship team works with an instructor (certified) to build a  knowledge and understanding of safety to prepare cadet Cadets are trained how to properly handle and shoot a pellet. Throughout the year, they attend and compete in matches hosted by other schools.

Raiders

This team is an athletic team that focuses on physical training, knot tying, and map reading. These cadets are working on team building  to be able to work together when in competitions. As well as sometimes wearing the OCP/ACU uniform.

JLAB

The JROTC Leadership & Academic Bowl (JLAB) is an all-service national competition. There’s two divisions on the team. Knowledge that consists of math, reading, science, and writing. The other is leadership knowledge which is based of the LET books we use throughout the program. This team really challenges you mentally and pushes you to achieve academically.

Robotics

This team is big on using your skills and brain. It’s a team that forces you to think, build, and work together to solve upfront problems. It’s a very tech team that works with a little engineering.
