I come from a long line of Texas educators. This is my 11th year as a counselor at Pottsboro and my 19th year in education. Prior to becoming a counselor, I was a science teacher/coach in my hometown, Wolfe City.
I received my undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University (Wreck 'Em) and my Master’s in School Counseling from Texas A&M-Commerce.
I am married to, Chris, and we have two amazing children. Brylee is a freshman at Pottsboro High School and is involved in volleyball, softball, and her love.....basketball. Layton is a 6th grader and loves to play football, basketball, and baseball. When I'm not at PHS, you can find me at a field or a court cheering them on!

This year marks my 28th year in education and my first year as an academic advisor. The last 27 years have been a joy teaching social studies and English while also coaching several sports. Both my parents were educators as well, and my daughters are following in the family footsteps to do the same.
I received my bachelor's degree from the University of Arkansas (WooooPig!) where I played basketball, and I received my master's degree in Educational Administration from Lamar University.
Pottsboro has been my home for the last 18 years where my late husband, Bart, and I raised our daughters to be proud Pottsboro Cardinals. After a 4-year basketball career at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, Haiden(23) is now a 4th grade math teacher in Princeton, TX. Hadley(20) is a senior at Texas Tech where she is pursuing a degree in Kiniesiology in order to teach and coach.
When not advising students, I am usually busy coaching cross country and track. It's a great day to be a Cardinal!
