What is PAR?
Participatory Action Research is an innovative approach to positive youth and community development based in social justice principles in which young people are trained to conduct systematic research to improve their lives, their communities, and the institutions intended to serve them.

- Document your community experiences with a camera, smart phone, or tablet.
- Share your photos/data with your co-researchers.
- Discuss your data and comment on how your data is similar or different to other's research.
- Recommend changes you think could help improve your community.
- Decide on actions you can take as a result of your research.
- Reflect on your research and decide if more is needed to be done.
