Q: Does this app upload my photos or videos?
A: No. Compression runs on your iPhone or iPad. Files stay on the device unless you choose to save or share them yourself.
Q: Do I need an internet connection?
A: No. PhotoVid Compress works offline for core compress and save flows.
Q: Will quality look bad?
A: That depends on the preset. Gentle keeps more detail; Tiny frees the most space. Start with Balanced, then try Advanced Mode if you want finer control.
Q: Can I pause a long video compress?
A: Yes. Pause saves progress as a project so you can resume later from Home or Projects.
Q: Where do finished files go?
A: Into your projects in the app. You can share them or save to Photos when you’re ready.
Q: Why do I need Photos access?
A: Only to pick media you want to compress and—if you tap save—to write the result back to your library. We don’t use that access to upload or train anything.
Q: Is there an account?
A: Not required for compressing and saving locally.
Q: What if something fails?
A: Failed or paused jobs stay in Projects so you can try again without starting from zero.
