Welcome to

M² group

The M² group carries out scientific research and educational activities in inorganic chemistry, particularly in materials science, environmental photochemistry and surface processes. The LPM is composed of the Materials Innovation & Advances (MIA) lab and the Mechanisms and Reactivities in Remediation Processes (MR2P) lab leaded by Dr. Martin Motola and Dr. Olivier Monfort, respectively.

This website is devoted to all the aspects where the M² group is involved. You will discover in details what are our research directions along with their potential applications and all the fundamental science behind them. The M² group is an academic research laboratory which is led by senior scientists whom supervise a team of young researchers. The motivation and experimental skills of these young chemists is the key in obtaining and discussing results which are published in renowned peer-review journals. The M² group is involved in the education of students enrolled in BSc. and MSc. programmes at the Comenius University in Bratislava, but also in the supervision of PhD. candidates.

The M² group is located at the Department of Inorganic Chemistry, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Comenius University in Bratislava. The Comenius University, founded in 1919, is in the capital city (Bratislava) and it is the biggest and the oldest university in Slovakia with 13 faculties.
