Phone Dipping is a community map for privacy-protected underwater photos. Help is available for accounts, purchases, privacy, safety and moderation.
Email no1pine@hotmail.com with:
a short subject such as “Account,” “Purchase,” “Privacy,” or “Moderation”;
the Dip title and approximate posting date when relevant;
what happened, what you expected, and the iOS/App version; and
a screenshot with unrelated personal information covered.
Never email a password, Apple identity token, bank/card number, Supabase key or full government ID.
We aim to acknowledge moderation and privacy concerns within 24 hours and other support messages within two business days. Phone Dipping is not monitored as an emergency channel. For an immediate threat, water rescue, injury or crime in progress, contact local emergency services.
On any Dip, tap …:
Report this Dip → choose a reason → optionally add details → Hide and submit report. The Dip hides for you immediately. The report enters the moderation queue when online.
Block this Dipper → confirm. That author’s Spots and Dips disappear from your map, feed and monthly leaderboard.
Reports can cover unsafe activity, harassment/hate, nudity/sexual content, violence/graphic content, spam/fraud, copyright, privacy/precise-location concerns, or another Terms violation.
For a copyright or privacy claim, email support with the exact content, basis of the claim, evidence that you are the rights holder or authorized representative, and the requested action.
In the App:
Open Me.
Scroll to Delete my account and content.
Read the consequences and confirm.
This permanently deletes the active authentication account, profile, owned Dips/photos, votes, reports and blocks. A Spot with another user’s Dip may remain without you as owner so their content is not destroyed. If deletion cannot reach the server, the App reports an error and does not claim server deletion.
Deleting the account does not cancel a Phone Dipping Pro subscription. Cancel separately in iOS Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions.
If the in-app deletion control is unavailable, email support from the address you can verify and describe the account/device. We will explain a safe verification method; do not send an Apple password or token.
Open Me → Restore purchases, or open the Pro paywall and choose Restore purchases. Use the Apple Account that made the purchase and an internet connection.
Open iOS Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions → Phone Dipping. Apple manages charges, cancellation and renewal. Uninstalling the App or deleting the Phone Dipping account does not cancel.
Apple handles App Store billing and refund requests. Visit https://reportaproblem.apple.com/ and sign in with the purchasing Apple Account.
If Apple shows a completed purchase but Pro remains locked after Restore, send the approximate transaction time and product name (pd_pro_monthly or pd_pro_annual). Do not send a complete receipt containing personal details unless support specifically requests a redacted diagnostic.
Each new Spot defaults to Regional, a snapped area roughly five kilometres wide. Approximate applies a deterministic offset of about 500 metres. Exact publishes the captured surface coordinate unchanged.
For Regional and Approximate, the captured precise coordinate remains in the local App cache; Supabase receives only the published coordinate. If you believe a Dip exposes a private, productive, unsafe or culturally sensitive place, use the Privacy report reason and email support for urgent review.
The App never requests iOS location access, so there is nothing to revoke in iOS Settings. Choosing a different place, or a less precise publication level, applies only to new Spots. It does not automatically remove an existing published Spot.
The App caches community content and locally created Dips. If offline, continue browsing saved content; a new upload may show that it is saved locally and will retry.
If sync remains stuck:
confirm the device can reach the internet without a captive portal;
open Me → Refresh community;
do not reset local cache until unsynced photos are safely backed up; and
send the exact sync status message to support.
Use a depth-rated waterproof phone case, secure the device, remain on a stable permitted surface, keep away from swimmers/wildlife/vessel traffic, and never enter dangerous water or lean over an unsafe edge for the App. All locations, equipment and conditions are user-reported. Phone Dipping is not navigation or safety advice.
