Dream

Stars were magical, and daring, and bright

Stars would always share their light

For a stars’ journey was meant to be a gift

Directed to the humans who desired a wish

A star was born in the moonlit night  

‘Star baby’ they rejoiced with delight 

Young stars would play, and laugh, and cry

But Star baby’s peers were moving faster than the sky

Answering to the humans with all their vigor

Star Baby had a pining to grow up quicker

For it found great beauty in granting wishes

So the star baby refused to play with the other children and their glowing fishes

It rejected the fun and excitement of youth

But it then found itself to be utterly consumed

By the dreams held in its heart for all of eternity

For it did not predict how greedy humans could be

Once it granted wishes, the star baby realized how it was a slave now, and before it was free

Everyone has a dream, a risk they want to take. 

A dream is something you reach for in the stars, 

Something you ask the universe for help with. 

 A dream is an adventure, 

An expedition to the treasure,

Which lies your greatest desires.

The temple of what we call reality. 

But within this temple lies decisions, 

Will you risk your life in the real world

for a dream, or live your dream life 

happily without worrying about the cons. 

The real world gives you two options

 be the rags or riches, 

One path leads to boiling hot lava,

The other leads to gold and diamonds.

A dream, is something you are dedicated to,

Something worth taking a risk for.
