Outreach
I have a YouTube channel where I exhibit simulations from my research: youtube.com/@virusmodels
I lead the organization of the COVID-19 Focus Sessions event that was part of the 2020 IEEE Conference on Decision and Control
Several highlights of my work in different venues:
I presented a virtual DREAM/CPAR Seminar at UC Berkeley titled "Epidemic Spread with Transportation: Modeling, Inference, and Control" on November 1st
A Medium article on work from my research group during my first year as a faculty member can be found here: Mathematical Models Try to Beat the Spread
I presented a virtual invited talk titled "Epidemic Spread with Transportation: Modeling, Inference, and Control" on April 16th at GERAD (Group for Research in Decision Analysis), a multi university research center comprised of researchers from HEC Montréal, Polytechnique Montréal, McGill University, and Université du Québec à Montréal
I gave a COVID-19 Research Spotlight Series talk titled Smart Contact Tracing to Control COVID-19 Epidemic Spread at the Purdue Institute of Inflammation, Immunology and Infectious Disease in October 2020. A recording of the talk can be found here
Several members of our C3.ai team presented at the Colloquium on Digital Transformation Science in July 2020, "Networked Epidemiology Models for COVID-19 Analysis and Control"
I was invited to give the 1st "Dive-deep" Seminar at KTH Digital Futures. The talk, titled "Mathematical Modeling, Estimation, and Analysis of Epidemics Spreading on Networks," was presented on Thursday May 14, 2020
My virus spread work was highlighted in a press release by KTH Royal Institute of Technology
CSL put together this article on my previous research and thoughts on COVID-19, which was their top story of 2020
