Hello! 

I am Philipp Heil, a Postdoctoral Researcher at HEC Paris. I am also affiliated with the ifo Institute in Munich. I completed my PhD in Economics at LMU Munich in 2026.

My research is primarily in the fields of Macroeconomics and Household Finance, with a focus on behavioral aspects of expectation formation and economic decision-making.
I investigate how economic agents form beliefs and make decisions under different information environments, focusing on economic narratives and the role of artificial intelligence in shaping expectations and economic decisions. To address these questions, I use a combination of household, firm, and expert surveys.

I was visiting UC Berkeley in Spring 2025, hosted by Yuriy Gorodnichenko. 

I am on the 2026/2027 Job Market.
