Hello! 

I am Philipp Heil, a Postdoctoral Researcher at HEC Paris. I am also affiliated with the ifo Institute in Munich. 

My research is in the fields of Behavioral Macroeconomics and Public Economics. I investigate how economic agents form beliefs and make decisions under different information environments, with a particular emphasis on economic narratives.  To adress these questions, I use a combination of household, expert, and firm surveys.

I was visiting UC Berkeley from January 2025 to May 2025, hosted by Yuriy Gorodnichenko.
