Welcome!

I am Deputy Head of the Center for Public Finance and Political Economy at the ifo Institute in Munich, member of the Junior Faculty of the LMU Munich, and CESifo Research Affiliate.

Starting 1 April 2024, I will be Professor of Macroeconomics at the University of Kassel.

My research focus is on macroeconomics, public economics, applied econometrics & data science.

I am also the Intermediary of the Public Economics Area of the CESifo Network and was a professional musician for 17 years (and keep on touring occasionally). During the winter term 2022/2023, I was visiting professor at the University of Konstanz. 

According to RePEc, I rank among the Top-1% of young economists worldwide and among the Top-10% of all authors.
