Room Parents

Supporting Homeroom and Specials Teachers

Partner with a teacher to support their classroom needs. Coordinate classroom celebrations and teacher gifts, and assist in securing volunteers for activities such as Silver Shoes, Field Trips, and Lunch/ Recess Support.

Tasks will vary according to the teacher and their needs, but might include:

•  Communicating with the teacher and other classroom parents/guardians,

•  Planning and recruiting volunteers for classroom events and projects,

•  Coordinating birthday, holidays, and end-of-year teacher gifts from the class (group-funded),

•  Assisting the teacher with class-specific sign-ups and tasks, and

•  Assisting the Staff Appreciation Committee (as needed).
