CRITICAL CROSSROADS: A CRIMINOLOGY THAT CONFRONTS

– Call for Abstracts OPEN – 

Our fourth annual PhD student conference will take place 28–29 April 2026 at the Institute of Criminology, University of Cambridge. 

This year’s theme invites submissions that:

> Explore how (state, or other forms of) power shapes criminological inquiry

> Engage with those experiencing marginalisation or oppression

> Consider how accountability and justice (whatever that means) can serve emancipatory or transformative objectives; and

> Outline the possibility and promise of interdisciplinary, creative or speculative approaches.

Relevant submissions from PhD students at all stages + from any disciplinary background, in person or online, are welcomed!
