FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Who can submit an abstract to present at the conference?
PhD students in any discipline relevant to the study of law, harm and/or justice – at any stage of study as long as the PhD has not yet been conferred.
Can presentations be online?
Yes, we are open to online presentations.
Who can attend the conference?
Anyone – including undergraduates or masters students – with an interest in the topic. Attendees should attend in person unless agreed otherwise, we are unable to widely livestream the conference.
How much does it cost to attend?
Registration for the conference is free, but we ask that PhD students fund their own travel and accommodation (e.g. through institutional/research allowances). At least one lunch will be provided, but there will be other meals/social events that need to be self-funded.
Are any bursaries available?
Small bursaries may be available for presenters who can demonstrate some need – please get in touch at phdcrimconference2023@gmail.com upon acceptance to discuss. We emphasise that these bursaries are small and unlikely to cover all expenses for a two-day conference.
